Exceptional casks for an exceptional shipment !

46267--103968_01.JPG

What can withstand of 9-meter fall, an 800-degree-Celsius fire for 30 minutes, and submersion under 200 meters of water without blinking? The casks used to ship radioactive products. They are veritable fortresses that ensure the containment of radioactive materials. But beware, only the mightiest, capable of going through a battery of tests, make the grade. Impact tests, fire, drops, torrential rain, perforation tests… the candidates have to be strong enough to withstand a wide range of external events. Designed by AREVA TN, which has more than 50 years of experience in this field, the casks that overcome these trials are certified by the nuclear safety authority ASN and are ready to accomplish their mission: carrying radioactive products safety for our 6,000 shipments each year..
